About La Micaela
La Micaela is a spectacular opulent residence, and now a unique opportunity has arisen to purchase this luxuriously and authentically restored country mansion. Its classical Spanish style, with large, elegant rooms and high ceilings need to be viewed to be fully appreciated. La Micaela sits in the middle of lush gardens which provide plentiful organic fruit and vegetables as well as surrounding the house with year round colour and fragrance. The property is only 10 minutes’ drive from the beach and 5 minutes from the centre of bustling Vera, but within its gates it is the ultimate private, luxury hideaway.
The restoration of La Micaela has retained all the wonderful features of a traditional Spanish manor house, whilst providing all up to date conveniences and services; mains water and electricity, good broadband connection, oil fired central heating. The design background of the owner is reflected in the sumptuous and tasteful interiors.
Amongst the many splendours are high ceilings with exposed beams, terracotta or marble floors and traditional tall wooden windows with interior shutters. The sitting room is an eight metre high tower with decorative carved arches to the upstairs gallery on one side, and stained glass windows on the other three which release heat from the house in the summer. Two of the bedroom suites open onto a central open patio which has Arabic style columns, and brick arches surrounded by mosaic tiles.
The farmhouse is incredibly versatile in terms of space. It is currently set out to have three spacious bedroom suites and three reception rooms – the tower sitting room, dining room, office, as well as a spacious hallway – but this space could be easily reconfigured to give more bedrooms, or to section off part of the house to make a self enclosed apartment with its own entrance on the south side of the patio.
As the rose terrace, dining room, tower sitting room and interior patio have large doors opening one into the other, this makes a fabulous large entertaining space and the acoustics in the tower are superb for live performances!
This space continues out of the central patio and down steps to the sun terrace screened by trees, swimming pool, barbeque area and poolside pavilion.
The house also has a large Bodega/wine cellar, four car garage as well as two further large storerooms, some of which could be converted to independent appartments or staff accomodation, should the new owners need them. As well as the four car garage there is parking for 10 – 12 cars.
Although the main crop of the farm is limes, with 200 trees, there are also various fruit trees; figs, oranges, almonds, quince, pears, loquats as well as a large organic vegetable garden. Close to the house and swimming pool are ornamental gardens including a long pergola planted with fragrant jasmine, honeysuckle, stephanotis and solandra.
La Micaela farm comes with rights to low cost irrigation water that is delivered on demand to an underground water storage tank. It is then distributed around the farm via an automatic irrigation system. This system is divided into zones that can be individually programmed to suit the needs of the different parts of the farm.
